Lago di Como

Some pictures of the lake, Lago di Como, Lake Como as it is known in English or Comosee in German. Our closest friends and the God Parents of both Aurelia and Caden live in Lombardy and they have a "place on the lake."

Years ago, Maggie and I met Umberto and Mariangela at a wedding of friends and family in Catanzaro in Southern Italy. We celebrated the new millennium the following January at our home in Pozzuolli (Napoli), and then later when the weather was more hospitable in the North, we met at their "place on the lake" and the four of us discussed life, having children, what we hold dear, and our beliefs as we enjoyed a stay at "the lake."

It is a magical place for Maggie and I. A place where we can relax from the troubles of the world, the daily grind, work, and any other worry. We relax, sleep soundly as one can only do when breathing clean mountain air, speak openly with true friends that share our values, love of life, and where we can eat some of the best food in all the world-something one can only do in Italy.

One worries about nothing at the lake, not even the flight home...
